This season, CCMS offers you a lineup that continues our tradition of great music at affordable prices.
We begin the year with a few repeat favorites. Mike Dowling, from Dubois, opens the season with his unique selection of music, followed by a special performance of the Veritus Trio, featuring Casper College’s Joshua Mietz, Christine Dunbar, and Scott Schwab. The Verismo Trio, a longtime favorite of CCMS audiences, is back by popular demand to round out the fall. A special start to the new year features Casper’s own Merchant Family, the Jim Olm Quartet, and Janet Ahlquist, with a very special performance by two musicians we haven’t heard in quite a while, Rod Garnett and Alex Komodore bringing us selections for Flute and Guitar.
This season, the CCMS board had to review certain financial positions in order to ensure the long term health of the organization. We felt the pinch of belt tightening among some of its granting agencies and patrons, and had to finally raise ticket prices in order to balance the budget. This was a move we had been able to put off for over 15 years, and we were still able to manage to keep the ticket to a CCMS event as inexpensive as possible. We also reviewed our position on tickets for students in the same package, and I am happy to announce that we have expanded our offering to students, so please encourage your friends who are attending public schools and Casper College to join us for concerts.
In addition to the Concert Series, watch for CCMS sponsored outreach events at various venues in and around Casper.
Enjoy the concert!
